Account settings
Configure spend limits and record retention.
Account settings apply to every session and agent. Owners and admins change spending settings while signed in; API keys and session credentials can't change them.
Session budget ceiling
Set this in Agents > Settings.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Session budget ceiling | The largest session budget a request can ask for |
Spend limits
Set account limits, the default session budget, and optional per-developer limits in Billing > Limits. Account limits cover spend over the last 1, 7, and 28 days. Per-developer limits apply to each person and each API key separately.
A paid request starts only when every limit that applies has room, including agent and handler limits. Lowering a limit can stop paid requests in sessions that are already running. See Budgets for defaults and what happens at a limit.
Platform allowances
API > Limits shows your account's API request limits, storage quotas, concurrency limits, and spending ceilings. Custom values are marked Custom. Every API request counts toward the account total, and some endpoints also have their own cap.
To request an increase, ask in your shared Slack channel with the Ellipsis team. To create one, open Help.
Budget alerts
Set alert thresholds in Billing > Limits. Alerts go to the Slack operations channel, notification emails, and Settings > Alerts. GET /v1/account/budget returns current limits and remaining spend.
Retention
See Security for how long session data is kept and when it's deleted.
Shared configuration
A GitHub repository named .ellipsis holds configuration for your whole organization:
In other repositories, agents and environments go in a .ellipsis/ directory. Integration files work only in the .ellipsis repository, and each defines the handler for its service. Folder names for agents and environments are up to you.
Credits and billing
See Pricing for credits, compute charges, and automatic recharge.
